HALLDÓR ELDJÁRN
As part of the Nordic Council Fund supported Handmade Sound Project Einkofi Production has showcased Icelandic Artist and Musician Halldór Eldjárn internationally with his band Sykur and as an artist. His piece Polo Apollo has been shown in the UK as part of Enlighten Bury Festival of Light and Sound in October 2017, Spectra 2018 and was also performed alongside Owl Project and Rosyan in Mengi, Reykjavik in December 2017.
Poco Apollo is a generative music piece and is built upon NASA's Apollo Space mission photo archive: around 15.000 photos taken on earth and in space. Poco Apollo generates musical soundscapes for each image in the library. It uses common computer vision algorithms to determine the mood of the picture as the input to the music composition engine.
